About Me

My background is in Architecture and Development Management. I chaired the Inverurie Community Council during the Covid-19 pandemic and led the team at Garioch Heritage Centre through the community buy out of historic premises.

Why I became a Trustee

Volunteers representing established community bodies in Inverurie recognised the need for coordinated effort to deliver improvement projects and came together under the banner of the Inverurie Vision group. Some early success working cross sector with public authority partners and representatives for business, sport and residents gave us the confidence to establish Evolving Inverurie. Our initial aim was to act as an umbrella organisation to facilitate delivery and support the existing groups doing great work in our community.

Why I love Inverurie

I enjoy contributing to our fantastic Inverurie community as a Scout leader and local charity trustee and believe that we all benefit from getting involved in our local community. Joining Evolving Inverurie is a great place to start.
