About Me
I am Inverurie through and through and have lived here most of my life. I have been fortunate to be actively involved in many local groups and committees over the years and, since 2017, to be one of the 4 locally elected Councillors representing Inverurie and District on Aberdeenshire Council and, since 2022, to serve as Provost of Aberdeenshire.
Why I became a Trustee
I was delighted when Evolving Inverurie was established to work with the community on taking forward a vision for Inverurie and surrounding area and, importantly, to be a catalyst for delivery. It is an honour to appointed as the Aberdeenshire Council elected representative on the Board to provide a strong link between Evolving Inverurie and the Council.
Passion for the Community
I am fully committed to Inverurie, it is the place I have lived, raised my family and plan to grow old in. I feel very fortunate to be able to bring my experience and contribute to achieving the very best future for Inverurie, to help it thrive and provide a strong sense of belonging for everyone who chooses to reside, work in and visit our lovely town.
Fun Fact
I have a dog called Bertie! He’s a very lively Springer Spaniel who loves walks around Inverurie, along the river paths and Ury Riverside Park are some of our favourites.
