Student Exchanges: Inverurie Academy and schools in Bagnères-de-Bigorre participate in exchange visits. In 2017, 35 French students visited Inverurie, enjoying a warm musical welcome and taking part in joint activities with local pupils. The visit culminated in a traditional Scottish ceilidh, where students from both towns danced and celebrated together.

Cultural Events: The twinning has inspired events that celebrate both Scottish and French culture, from music and dance to language learning and shared festivities.

Community Visits: Delegations from Inverurie have visited Bagnères-de-Bigorre, and vice versa, strengthening the bonds of friendship and showcasing the best of each town’s community spirit.
