About Me
I moved to Inverurie over 30 years ago and have found it a great place to live, raise a family and call home. After taking early retirement from a career in oil industry IT and latterly property management I wanted to give something back to the community.
I'm usually involved in the hands on, practical stuff such as mowing the path edges at Uryside, putting up the new community noticeboard, planting trees or managing volunteer days.
Why I became a Trustee
I've been a trustee at Ury Riverside Park for nearly 10 years and its been hugely satisfying seeing the park develop into a well used and loved community facility. I became a trustee of Evolving Inverurie so that I could contribute to other projects in the town.
Why I love Inverurie
I love Inverurie because it’s a place with strong community spirit, and I have discovered real purpose through volunteering. Being involved in local projects and seeing the difference they make has only deepened my connection to this town I’m proud to call home.
Fun Fact
I can also be seen around the town as a Cycling Without Age trishaw pilot so whether I'm holding you up with the tractor or the trishaw, thank you for your patience!
